Hi! I'm so glad you landed here, let's get to know each other ☻

I'm Esther Dimalanta, the Chunky Diabetic (an homage to Phife the Funky Diabetic, and yes I'm really diabetic). I am a Filipino settler currently based on Treaty 7 territory, Mohkínstsis, colonially known as Calgary. 

My creative work aims to be the centre of a Venn diagram where creativity and positive social impact meet. For me, that means creating illustrations that benefit my immediate and larger communities. My work is intentional, impactful, vibrant, and dynamic. I focus on creating visuals that tell compelling stories to provide visual solutions to problems.

I believe that good story telling is told better by good design. I'm eager to bridge engaging design and non-profit spaces to bring their ethos and visions to life and move their essential work forward.
